Hi, I’m Phoebe! I’m a passionate multi-instrumentalist and music teacher who believes music should be a place where students feel confident, creative, and excited to grow. I completed my Bachelor of Music at York University and have been performing since 2012 in ensembles, jazz bands, church settings, concerts, and live band environments. I have been teaching since 2024 in both private and group settings, working with students as young as 5 and as old as 60+. My teaching style focuses on progress over perfection, helping students build a strong foundation while also making lessons fun, engaging, and encouraging. I especially love helping students who may feel shy, unsure, or “not naturally musical” discover that music can become one of the most rewarding and expressive parts of their lives. I started formal music lessons myself at age 12, so I understand that every musical journey begins somewhere and that it’s never too late to start. Outside of music, I enjoy Pokémon, Minecraft, and video games, and I love finding ways to connect lessons to each student’s unique personality and interests.
