Joe’s 20+ years of musical experience includes touring and recording with acclaimed indie band Goodwood Atoms, studying with legendary guitarist Kenny Wessel at the New York Jazz Workshop, and working as an in-demand session player for a range of Vancouver artists. Alongside his performing career, Joe earned a master’s degree from Simon Fraser University and has taught students across a variety of disciplines and settings. He has developed a unique approach to guitar and bass instruction that helps students quickly become comfortable with improvisation, active listening, and personal expression. Joe focuses on developing each student’s musical intuition and helping them find a style that reflects their individuality, regardless of level.
