Music has taken me on some incredible adventures, and I'm still having as much fun learning today as when I first picked up an instrument. I studied in the Fine Arts/Music Honours Program at Bergen Community College, where I also worked as a music tutor. My musical foundation includes studying the Berklee Modern Method, and I've continued learning through workshops with stellar musicians/educators. I believe the best teachers never stop being students. I've taught music for more than 30 years, working with children, teens, adults, and seniors. Music is a very fluid language. My goal is to help every student build confidence, develop solid skills, and, most importantly, have fun making music and connecting with others. It's always great to see my students leave each lesson smiling, inspired, and excited to keep playing. I've performed everywhere from concert halls and hospitals to cruises on the Hudson River and private yachts in Europe. I also studied Early Music since I was a teen, and performed lute with the New York Continuo Collective. Today I'm the co-founder of a Toronto-based classic rock band. When I'm not making music, you may find me playing Scrabble, swimming or reading a good book.
