Jay acquired his Bachelor of Arts from Humber College in Toronto and has been performing and teaching for over 20 years. He's toured Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic playing music. He's recorded with multiple groups, playing sax and arranging horn sections for many albums. He takes all of his real-life experience and knowledge of Guitar and piano. Bass, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and Songwriting into his lessons, teaching his students to work with other musicians. Isn’t that what learning to play an instrument is all about? He has two teenage kids. Being a dad has helped him relate to kids of all ages. He finds a lot of inspiration and new music from his students. Aside from music, he loves to play hockey in the winter and go canoeing in the summer.
