Hi, I’m Cody! I’m a drummer, percussionist, and vocalist passionate about helping others connect with music in a meaningful way. I offer lessons in drum kit, hand percussion, vocals, and song arrangement, tailored to each student’s goals and experience level. I studied Afro-Cuban kit drumming, West African hand drumming, and Choir at York University, and trained in rock vocals under Marla Joy. I began my musical journey at just one year old with the drum kit and went on to co-found the JUNO-Award-winning band Crown Lands in 2015, where I perform as drummer and lead vocalist. Our music has taken us around the world, sharing stages with artists like KISS, Greta Van Fleet, and Jack White. Music, to me, is the purest form of communication; it allows us to express emotions beyond words. Whether you’re picking up sticks for the first time or refining your rock voice for the stage, I’ll help you build solid technique, develop your ear, and discover your unique musical voice. My goal is to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and inspiring, so you leave each session feeling more confident and connected to your craft. Let’s make some music together!
