Hi there! My name's Jacob. I'm a fingerstyle guitarist and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of experience playing and performing. I studied Music Industry Arts at Algonquin College, graduating with honours in 2016, and began teaching in 2023. Over the years I've played in punk bands, worked as a session musician, written nearly 200 guitar arrangements, accompanied Broadway performers (and order of Canada recipients) live on stage, worked as a freelance music producer and, of course, taught guitar! When it comes to learning how to play an instrument, I think people are a lot more capable than they give themselves credit for. And, as a self-taught guitarist, it's important to me that the learning process isn't intimidating or overwhelming. It's supposed to be fun, and I'd be delighted to be a part of your musical journey!
